About

It is said that the pen is mightier than the sword! I believe that,,, Do you??

I am Nancy Marie Peters/Kohmetscher (the remarried) widow of Pastor Peter John Peters, founder of Scriptures for America worldwide. As thousands of others (perhaps millions) ~ I am convinced that the late Pastor was as close to a TRUE prophet (even with his human faults) as this world has known in our generation.

This blog site is dedicated to One Purpose ~

Promoting God’s Kingdom precepts (small and large) & HIS government ON EARTH…

Many of the keys and precepts Pastor Peters has revealed in his ‘timeless’ (for this age) messages exposing the ins and outs of Kingdom Living and Justice will be reviewed and referred to in my writings.

Beyond this ~ past writings I have written for almost everything ~ from a column Pastor gave me in his newsletter ~ to writings I created specifically for him that he counted useful for national purposes may be revealed in the days to come in fulfilling the ONE purpose of this site.

The government is (in fact) declared by the living Word of God to belong on the shoulders of Jesus Christ ~ who is the true head of the church.

Because Christians are individual members of the body of Christ, (1 Corinthians 12:27) when we put on the mind of Christ daily there can be no stopping the growth of His Kingdom Come.

There is a mindset of victory and truth that WILL overcome the spirit of tyrants and confusion that is loosed in the world.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead.

Jesus Christ left us with keys that offer us peace and prosperity when used. We are called to be ONE body and we can remain ONE body undivided, if we keep the wicked outside ~ where God judges.

Covered by the blood of Jesus the Christ??? Then ~

“ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

Colossians 3:15

Justice

Have you ever had the had the opportunity to visit with a retired justice, judge, senator, state representative, or anyone involved with hearing/reading laws presented and/or passed? Once in a blue moon (as is said) one will come out of the confusion proclaiming how it really is  ~~~  ‘There are laws against laws, that are against other laws that are against laws.’

It all makes the God of the bible look extremely intelligent and down right sovereign as a lawmaker, just as He is, the more you know Him and study His Living word/law.

What would our “One Nation Under God” look like if we all served the same God? For a nation to agree to be under the capital “G” God, the peoples of the nation must recognize Him as their Lawgiver and Judge. (James 4:12)

Since I have now spent more then 30 years recognizing the God of the universe as the only sovereign lawgiver and judge, I thought to paint a Kingdom picture.  While I may not have all the vision I need to complete a perfect picture, maybe starting where others in history have started and gained God’s favor and blessings, will inspire A New Vision of enduring justice for you to support.

The first thing to recognize is this canvas belongs to the Living God so no one is allowed to jump on the canvas if they do not want to love and serve Him.  In simple terms any one who makes a law that does not support His Laws is not allowed in His Kingdom (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

Here is the BIG difference in God’s system verses mans. ~ His system does not need people to argue in order to prosper. Instead, His justice system requires judges and peacemakers (lawyers) who support what He declares as good and punishes what He declares as evil, while prospering all the same or usually better.

Those professionals are the ones i.e. members of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27) that God/Jesus is determined to assign some of the highest/chief kingdom positions available under the sun.

“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.  For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.  Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:17-20

Those who seek His Kingdom first will be added to…

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Matthew 6:33

That is a fact that proves itself over and over throughout all of His-Story on earth for those wise enough to ‘Seek His Face!’ (i.e. laws, statues, judgements, counsel, Spirit)

The fringe benefits  promised to the nation who chooses Jesus Christ as their King are found in: Matthew 18:19; James 5:14-15; John 14:12-15; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Leviticus 26:3-12;+++

That kind of prosperity allows all kinds of time for entertainment and play, some of which has been recorded at different points in history by those who heard His voice and were determined to be governed by Him rather then to be governed by man.

Those who have a law written on their heart to support the justice system of the Living God (Jesus Christ) are promised satisfaction.  If you wish to study, teach, and join those who support His Kingdom System on earth ~ below is a list of suggested tools and materials you will find helpful to the cause, all obtainable through the address below the list.

“Love versus Lust!”

__________________________________________________________________________________________

If you ask a young Christian man, woman, or older teen what they would prefer ~ true love or lust, without exception they will tell you that they what the REAL thing ~ ‘True Love’.

wedding rings

But gaining real love takes a much different mind set than is common in the world today, even in the world of Christian singles. One would think there should be an obvious distinction between the world of Christian singles versus the world of non-Christian singles, but to the shame of many Christians, so often there is no detectable difference.

For example ~ few years back ~ one Christian man/father who was attending a regular Christian gathering became so disgusted with what he was seeing in the attitudes, standards, apparel and behavior of the single young ladies that he told his own youths that he thought “the girls there could teach bar-room whores how to be more pleasing to satan with the games they were playing on the young men and the young men’s so-called girlfriends”.

Escaping the deep heartaches of the ‘world’ is the only way to go for Christians and this can be done through following God’s will.

One of the best ways to create a noticeable distinction is for the older men and women (parents) to encourage the right behavior among youth and teach discernment in evaluating the inner character of others.  Jesus did say that we can know someone by their fruits. (Matthew 7:16)

Bible students should understand that it is God’s plan for (not only the fathers to demonstrate and teach high standards) but for the women ‘mothers’ to play a very large part in urging young men and women to be sensible…

The instructions found in Titus are:

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what it good, that they may encourage the young women to love there husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.  Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, in order that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.”

                                                     Titus 2:3-8

When young men are not instructed how to recognize right versus wrong behaviors among young ladies it can surely entice some ‘cheaper’ or ungodly standards among women.  Therefore this writing is meant for both genders and I will go back and forth as to what men and women can do to steer clear of satans’ games/curses.

One writing I learned of in my past was a survey/interview of some young Christian men who were asked what kind of behavior and actions did they find favorable in young women. One of the major responses was they liked it when girls wore feminine apparel that actually ‘covered’ them. They said they didn’t want to see girl’s bras and slips and found the girls who wore things that did not cover “enough” unattractive.

Surveys like this could truly raise the standards of Christians when these thoughts are revealed and praised, instead of hidden ~ as satan so desires.

One thing I have notice in my years about young women is they can often fall prey to the fear (that satan wants them to have) that they will not be ‘noticed’ if they do not dress like the latest fashion models. Another fear I have seen among girls is, if they are not jabbering away, showing what they perceive as a great amount of ‘personality’ and humor, that the girls that talk most will ‘win out’ in being favorably noticed and thought of with the guys.

What satan does not want girls to understand is the more flirtatious actions and apparel attracts the kind of men who cause a lot of pain, sorrow, and shame to a woman. Some girls might not care now when they are trying to be noticed by all the men that they can get to turn their head (married or not) but they will when they end up alone and all the sensible men and women are happily married and 100% unsympathetic to their pain, sorrow, and shame.

sad

Girls who are tempted to dress immodest also need to consider that if you do meet a guy who likes the way you dress, than he will like the way other immodest women do too. The men who are shallow enough to go after immodest women, will be void of the true character traits it takes to love, cherish, honor, and be faithful to you.  Such a low character could easily be attracted to pornography or other women, leaving you to feel very inadequate.

Another thing improper apparel can do is inspire a predator to rape you.  As we see in the laws of God, a rape victim is not always considered guiltless as a ‘victim’, otherwise it would not read in Deuteronomy 22:26, I quote, “…But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death…” .  That is if the girl screams out.

When older men and women are quick to recognize and praise godly attitudes and behavior among youth/singles, and just as quick to rebuke flirtatious, ungodly standards, behaviors, and attitudes~ things can change for the better real quick.  Teaching our young men and women to be attracted to the right thing will gain them True Lasting Love.  And teaching them to be disgusted by cheap attitudes, apparel, standards and behaviors will help shield them from the wrong ideas and people.

Christians should set the standards and steer clear of the sorrows and curses that come to those who go the way of the world.  Now more than ever before in History, our nation needs to witness strong values that promote God’s Kingdom, for the power that He is willing to unlash is endless…

There is a ‘nation’ that will shine forth brighter than all others. One that will shine forth bright as the sun! America needs to remain that nation and that takes American’s who walk in God’s will.

“…Come and let us go up to the mountain (mountain means nation) of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways, and that we may walk in His paths.  For the law will go forth from Zion and the word of the Lord from JerUSAlem.”

Isaiah 2:3

Become Like Children

Please note you will need 6 minutes to read this writing. The purpose of this writing is to encourage the mind to consider ‘the miraculous’.

The definition of the word “Miracle” in the Webster’s New World Dictionary is–

“an event or an action that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural causes, esp. an act of God”…

One of the last “God’s Home Health Care Program’s”, that Nancy Mae and I (Nancy Marie) did together –where we opened the phone lines, a gentleman caller told us that he had called Pastor Peters at one time and told him that, ” ‘he’ (Pastor) was a heavy right brain thinker”, He received no argument from Pastor Peters. This was without a doubt true of Pastor, but I observed him to be what one would likely call a balance between left and right brain thinking. However, it is true Pastor was NOT ashamed of right brain thinking, although he knew it was more common of women to do so.

Pastor often encouraged Christians towards right brain thinking because when he would look out into the future, a miracle was the only thing that made any sense. Some of you know that Pastor thought our country to be in, “a red sea predicament’, as he often expressed. To deny a miraculous solution, was to deny the Power of our Heavenly Father…. and that was something that Pastor hoped to never be found to be guilty of.

—————————————–

Our Commander Once told us to:

“Become like Children”

The Faith of a Child is mighty…

Michael, (6 years old) is standing at his door watching his daddy leave for work.

“Hey, dad!, … would you get me a blue house and a blue truck?”

His dad is stunned and let’s out an “uhhh”.

“Well, just think about it, alright?”, says Michael as he closes the front door.

It does not enter Michaels mind daddy cannot just ‘make this happen’. All Michael knows is that they need a new house, as the one they are in is way too small and pretty troubled. And the blue truck–?– well, that is just down right useful to ALL kingdom dads and boys, Right?

————

As I watched the dirt cover our Pastors coffin, I told his grandson who sat with me a while, ‘I wish he could have his Papa back and it could be me in the coffin’. Yes, I know that maybe a bit selfish to wish (or is it?) but at the time the pain was too severe. It is a comfort to understand that one-day this, ashes to ashes, dust-to-dust stuff will end. These past few months in all this new ‘alone time’ allows me to ponder the Words of Jesus and the future promises:

“Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 18:3

Well, surely I can do that, for I love how simple ‘children’ think, as those who spend time around me well know. In Psalms 19 king David says, ‘The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” That gives us simple ones hope! Hallelujah!!

In Jesus, we can become like the ‘children’ He wants us to be if we remain in Him daily. ‘Children’ do not have to understand and reason every detail out before they can see something clearly. Before the left side of their brain is trained they can see greater things then us grown ups.

If the grown up ‘Children of Israel’ would dare “to step out of the box” (as Pastor would often put it) maybe we could/ AND WOULD DO— MUCH GREATER things. In the book of Jasher, Jasher talks about some pretty awesome and miraculous events, but even without the Holy Spirits witness of the book of Jasher as the gospel truth, we have plenty of miraculous testimonies in the Word of God that can not be denied OR explained scientifically.

Of course, ‘some’ may try to shame us for daring to think as BIG as right brain thinking can take us. But the rewards for right brain thinking are far too great to be shamed by the insults of men or women, even if it is ‘a Christian man or woman’ satan is using to attack you, which does of course happen…. (See Luke 23:24 and Matthew 5:10-11)

We see through Jesus many times in the bible that it was popular to deny His power, but SURELY NOT PROFITABLE TO DENY IT. Many times those who DID NOT deny His Power, were the ones Jesus praised greatly for their faith, and their profit was great.

Image

Truly, right brain thinking is where ALL your dreams can come true if you are walking in His (Jesus’) Will. Hear the Words of Jesus…

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7

And…

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father.” John 14:12

Wow, Jesus!!, You have risen up the DEAD and YOURSELF too! That is BIG!!! That is Powerful! I can not imagine (at this point) what is greater than raising the dead, but that does not mean I do not want to know.!!.

Well readers, our Pastor named this column “The Hand that rocks the Cradle”, because he well knew that ‘the Christian women’ who Rock the Cradles, are doing a great service for THE KING of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ!!

Pastor Peters believed Jesus’ when he told the disciples to …

“Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 10:14
Some of us, love this right brain thinking because that is where ALL Our Dreams come true!! Better yet, it is where the Kingdom future becomes THE reality we live and work for!

DARE TO “Become Like Children”!!! May His Kingdom Come…

2 Now it will come about that

In the last days

The mountain (nation) of the house of the Lord

Will be established as the chief of the mountains,

And will be raised above the hills;

And all the nations will stream to it.

3 And many peoples will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

To the house of the God of Jacob;

That He may teach us concerning His ways

And that we may walk in His paths.”

For the law will go forth from Zion

And the word of the Lord from JerUSAlem

4 And He will judge between the nations,

And will render decisions for many peoples;

And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.

Nation will not lift up sword against nation,

And never again will they learn war.

Isaiah 2:2-4

And Again, I Dare you to join the brave and simple… “Become like Children”.
—————————————————-
6 And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,

And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,

And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;

And a little boy will lead them.

Isaiah 11:6 (NASB)

John’s vision found in Revelation 19 offers such glorious hope as the end of this age draws nearer. Maybe you feel the same hope as I, i.e. to see the white horses with Jesus Christ in the lead of His army!, in our day… Together we may very well see The Vision Become Reality. After all, the numbers of His people who echo the OLD battle cry, “No King but Jesus!” within their heart grows greater by the day.

Are you a Christian who will escape the things to come as found in Luke 21:36 and Revelation 3:7-13? Below you will find some of the best efforts that my late husband (Pastor Peters) ever made to guide many into the knowledge necessary to escape the things to come and stand before the Son of man. How does it compare with how you have been taught?

It is with great hope that these audio clips are introduced to you. The audio clips below were first inspired by a long time friend/supporter of Pastor and by me, who wants to share with the world a gift that my late husband (the Pastor) gave me that is now converted into an audio format. (which is audio 2 below)

While we see and hear, voices collect daily of those who are seeking our Redeemers return, the overwhelming desire to ‘look up’ excels what I ever imagined possible for me as two of the best men I believe ever walked the face of this earth— now ride with Jesus. Surely I know, I am not the only widow/widower with the desire to ‘look up’ and of course in today’s world you do not need to be a widow or widower to have this desire!

But how can we “look up” if we still have love ones who have not yet entered safely into the birth of the Kingdom age because of all the false teachings of today? If those of you (who have properly entered the Rock) still have love ones who have not, due to all the false teachings or ignorance of the biblical teachings of how to enter the Rock, I pray you find “The God’s Rider’s” audios of great personal benefit for your love ones and/or yourself.

In Daniel when he is describing some later day scenes he tells about a lot of wicked forces and also hypocrisy, but he said…

“…the people who know their God will display strength and take action. And those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many;” Daniel 11:32-33

Today, we can hear the same lies (hypocrisy) on ‘baptism alone’ from almost every ‘supposed Christian pulpit’ in this world. Deception is so wide spread. Because of this, it is easy to be of the opinion that we are likely at or near the last hour to work in the vineyard. (see Matthew 20)

_______

Remember track one of Audio 1 is the Introduction to the whole packet. It is ABOVE.

Track 2– ‘Christians Tell’ is me reporting what Christians have told me through the years about there baptisms. (5 minutes, 30 seconds)

Track 3– is a definition of a proper baptism (1 minute, 14 seconds)

Track 4– is about ‘Experience after Baptism’ (41 seconds)

_______

CD 2 ~ audio Don’t Miss Out

# 2 This second audio sound bite is one track that is a bit over 16 minutes.

It is untitled “Don’t Miss Out” and is a pamphlet I (Nancy) received as a gift in December of 2009 to share with my love ones. It has been converted to an audio sound bite.

Hear for yourself as it is enough to change a world! (Editors note: at least for a thousand years)

______

CD 3 ~ audio “The Gospel”…

This third audio has two tracks.

Track 1 is all SCRIPTURES describing “The Gospel: The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ”. (6 minutes)

Track 2 is Acts 2:38 out of several different bible versions (3 minutes 54 seconds)

_______

CD 4 ~ “The Lie”

This is an edited soundtrack of my late husbands radio broadcast untitled, “The Lie”.

Remember if you wish to share any of these Audio clips they are here at- avoiceofthanksgiving.wordpress.com

For some reason this link takes 30 to 45 seconds to load so be patient… This is the longest audio clip at 26 minutes and well worth the time.

_______

CD 5 ~ audio is music…

The “God’s Rider’s” song (3 minutes, 50 seconds)

The other three songs mentioned in audio one track one are available in CD format.

It is wisdom for us to be ever ready to look up!!!

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. “Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

The Goal is Simple!!!

It is my hope that these audio sound bites will cross over all denominational lines just as 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and Revelation 19 will. Let us break through the misunderstandings of today’s church world.

“And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.” Revelation 19:11-14

Sending a Rose to Heaven

In remembrance of an unusually great woman, (my mother, Helen Marie) who had a huge heart for Jesus Christ, I re~blogged the writing below the rose from “Morning Story and Dilbert”.

Editors note: It has been 47 years since my sisters and I got to see our mother. This story meant something to me but I did not want to post it until today because of the many children in who could not go see their mothers this Mothers Day. However, making the most out of the time God gives us is so smart…

How I wish to send a rose to heaven for you, mom, and how I hope Jesus gives it to you with this message from me !! ~ I just never stop wishing I could talk to you…

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who lived two hundred miles away.

As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing.

He asked her what was wrong and she replied, “I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother and I don’t have enough money.”

The man smiled and said, “Come on in with me. I’ll buy you a rose.”

He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother’s flowers.

As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home. She said, “Yes, please! You can take me to my mother.”

She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.

The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother’s house.

The next Passover date is ~

April 2, 2021… 14th day of Abib… The Passover

The make-up day if you failed to keep the Passover is May 2.  You can read an example of this in 2 Chronicles 30.

Psalm 91    King James Version

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalm 1:4 (NIV)
Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away…

How blessed those of us who live in this age are under the New Covenant, for God makes it so easy for us to keep the Passover (Abide in Jesus… see John 6:56) when He give us His only begotten Son over 2000 years ago. No need to slaughter lambs and no need to smear lambs blood on the door post anymore to keep this permanent ordinance.

“Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.”

Exodus 12:14

It is easy to understand the joy of Mary’s heart when she proclaimed…

“My soul exalts the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
“For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave;
For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.

 “For the Mighty One has done great things for me;

And holy is His name.
“And His mercy is upon generation after generation
Toward those who fear Him.
 “He has done mighty deeds with His arm;
He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart.
“He has brought down rulers from their thrones,
And has exalted those who were humble.
 “He has filled the hungry with good things;
And sent away the rich empty-handed.
“He has given help to Israel His servant,
In remembrance of His mercy,
As He spoke to our fathers,
To Abraham and his descendants forever.”

Luke 1:46-55

Note: Tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon or evening don’t forget to remember Him who died for us through partaking of communion with a loved one, family, or group! Luke 21:36 is a good prayer to be said over the bread and the cup.

GOD BLESS AND PASSOVER HIS LOVED ONES ~ WORLD WIDE IN THE UPCOMING YEAR IS MY PRAYER.

Communion Bread Recipe

1 cup flour (I use barley flour)

2 Tablespoons “good” olive oil (olive oil does go rancid easy)

1/4th slightly heaping teaspoon salt

cold water (till dough can be rolled out, 3-5 Tablespoons is what I think is what I use)

Directions ~ Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a medium sized bowl mix the flour and salt. Folk in oil and then cold water. Once in a lump ~ roll the dough out on parchment paper that is on a cookie sheet. (If you square the dough off around the edges as you roll the edges will not be as jagged.) Score the rolled out dough to breakable pieces. Bake till done 20 to 30 minutes depending on your oven and elevation.

Treasures in Heaven

2010 through 2011 was a very difficult time in my journey through life. By the end of September 2011, I had lost, not only my husband/Pastor, but also two other “treasures” to heaven within only a year, namely ~ my earthly father, and also a woman who was like a spiritual mother to me with always so much wisdom to share.

“And stretching out His hands towards His disciples, He said, ‘Behold, My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother.”   Matthew 12:49-50

Now in this year (2013) ‘we’ of my family suffer another painful loss. Some verses in the book of Isaiah seem so very applicable, not just for lord Peter (small “l” of course) but also regarding these other losses that are still so severely felt. It reads…

“The righteous man (woman/child) perishes, and no man takes it to heart; “And devout men are taken away while no one understands. For the righteous man (woman/child) is taken away from evil.  He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, “Each one who walked in his upright way.”  Isaiah 57:1-2

These aches within the heart cause one to wonder how the world can move forward when someone so dear and precious has passed on. Yet the fact that life does move on is undeniable.

While for the most part it has always seemed somewhat easier to find wisdom in the men of my past, the woman in which I write of (who was to me like a spiritual mother) has been a powerful witness to all who are willing to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. In earlier days her home always seemed to have a candle burning to instruct us younger women in “The Way”.  It was not that my own mother was unwilling to do the will of our Heavenly Father, but she went to be with the Lord when I was only 8 years of age, leaving us without much instruction. With that said, when there is no motherly figure in ones life, it was a bit more difficult to get a healthy respect for womanhood. But through the years I gleaned much (whether I thought I needed it or not) from the women of God that crossed my path.  My memory reflects back to a day in my 20’s….

“Sometimes God does not want us to be secure in tomorrow.” she told me as we drove to her large ranch. Almost bitterly, I spoke out (as we had just lost, unjustly, EVERYTHING including the roof over our head ~ we had worked so very hard for!)  “Oh, and how did you learn this? Have you ever lost your home?” I asked.  “Well,” she replied, “ I learned God did not always want us to know what the future holds when I was pregnant with my fourth baby and my husband died in a plane crash.”  I felt as though I had been slapped across my face! What a wake up call!  The thought that heaven could be holding my husband or a child ~ leaving me to know that grief was sobering.  Suddenly the loss of an earthly home seemed small.  Truly it is said; the best treasures in life are not ‘things’.

Later in life I met another woman of God, through Pastor. She was a dear old family friend of his and his late wife’s.  As I listened to this precious sisters’ humble spirit offering the details of the losses she had experienced in her living room, and about her attitude in between the two great losses, I observed that the room was full of many plaques and gifts, all speaking volumes of words to me of how many women treasured her friendship and wisdom. She shared how she had figured out that it is ‘never’ wise to say, “I cannot take any more,” as she had done for many years after the loss of her little girl, until the Lord called her son home as well.  She felt that God becomes displeased with us when we declare what “we can take” which will inspire Him to show us the truth of what we can ‘really’ take. He is the Potter, we ~ the clay.

Besides being grateful to God for the child she still has, this sister reflected on what comforts her and offers daily peace. Her mind, her thoughts, her heart and her hopes for the future could simply not stay out of the heavens (most of the hours of her days) where she smiled at the promise found in the book of Revelation.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,  “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:3-4

Paul’s words to the Philippians were very real to this sister and became more real to me through her testimony. He reflected…

“…to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Philippians 1:20

Each loved one that passes on to be with the Lord makes for a greater longing to love the ‘blessings’ still with us. And it brings new meaning to the words of Jesus…

“… where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:21

Till His Kingdom comes, hearts that are like mine is… i.e. divided between treasured ones on earth and treasures in heaven, multiply.  From the day I lost the first treasured one to heaven (my mother) I have found great comfort in some truth found in one of my favorite hymns,

This is my Fathers world

 “This is my Fathers world, O let me never forget;

That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.”

 “This is my Fathers world, the battle is not done;

Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and Heaven be one.”

We can praise the Living God of the universe, for Indeed a great day is coming!

WHO’LL TAKE THE SON?

The moral to the story is so valid. Enjoy!

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art.  They had every thing in their collection, from Picasso to Rapheal.  They would often sit and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war.  He was very courageous and died in battle while recusing another soldier.  The father was notified and grieved for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock on the door.  A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.  He said, “Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life.  He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly.  He often talked about you, and your love for art.”

The young man held out his package.  “I know it isn’t much, I’m am not a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.”  The father opened the package.  It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man.  He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting.

The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears.  He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.  “Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me.  It is a gift.”

The father hung the portrait over his mantle.  Every time visitors came to his home, he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works of art he had collected.

The man died a few months later.  There was to be a great auction of his paintings.  Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.  On the platform sat the painting of the son.

The auctioneer pounded his gavel.  “We will start the bidding with this picture of the son.  Who will bid for this picture?”  There was silence.  Then a voice in the back of the room shouted,  “We want to see the famous paintings.  Skip this on.”  But the auctioneer persisted.  “Will someone bid for this painting?  Who will start the bidding?  $100.00, $200.00?”  Another voice shouted angrily, “We didn’t come to see this painting.  We came to see the Van Gogh’s the Rembrandt’s.  Get on with the real bids!”  But still the auctioneer continued, “The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?”

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room.  It was the long-time gardener of the man and his son.  “I’ll give $10.00 for the painting.”  Being a poor man it was all he could afford.  “We have $10, who will bid $20?”

“Give it to him for $10.  Let’s see the masters.”  “$10 is the bid, won’t someone bid $20?”  The crowd was becoming angry.  They didn’t want the picture of the son.  They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel.  “Going once, twice, SOLD for $10 dollars!”  A man sitting on the second row shouted. “Now let’s get on with the collection!”  The auctioneer laid down his gavel.  “I am sorry, the auction is over.”  “What about the paintings?”  “I am sorry.  When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will.  I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time.  Only the painting of the son would be auctioned.  Whoever bought the painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.  The man who took the son gets everything!”

God gave us His Son over 2,000 years ago to die on a cruel cross.  Much like the auctioneer, His message today is,  “The Son, the Son, who’ll take the Son?”

Because you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything!!!

Under Attack ??…

Editors Note: I am not a teacher. As a thirty year ‘student’ of the Bible (and anointed shepherds of God I have been privileged enough to HEAR) I know satanic attacks come at men and women.

With that said I will keep this very short. Daily I hear of men and women of God under severe attack from the enemies of Jesus Christ.

The following ~ link below “know your enemy”~ might help to explain why the enemy is working so hard to trouble ALL Christians and pre-Christians. I mentioned this in one of my three posts untitled “Victory over the Bully”. If you are like I am and like to hear the bottom line FIRST, you can hear that in the last two and a half minutes of the following Youtube video.

The Video well explains not only the ‘spirit’ of attack Elijah was under, but also why he was under the attack. It is no different today as these same ‘spirits’ come at Christians every day.

The last two and a half minutes…

Know your Enemy

If you do not read anything else…

Since my husband/Pastor went on to ride with the Lord in 2011 I have spent time listening to messages of others to learn just where the ‘Christian Church’ world is at ‘today’. Today’s date is 11/12/13. In keeping with Hebrews 10:23-25 (as Pastor taught it, and ‘his actions when he was away from his pulpit’ taught me to do…) I usually always enter a church Sunday mornings where they teach the plan of salvation and serve communion as Pastor Peters did. I travel often.

While a couple times I was merely disappointed rather than encouraged by the church I entered, I have been encouraged by what Peter would count as ‘kindred spirits’ through a church body and Pastor and hopefully I have been an encouragement to them as well. This shepherd of God who I HEAR (because of his great love for the Lord and God’s People) has a couple of sayings that you have likely heard before. They go like this:

IF YOU DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING ELSE, HEAR THIS!!!

Sometimes ~ I guess for variation??… he switches to this…

IF YOU DO NOT GET ANYTHING ELSE TODAY, GET THIS!!!!

Next, he follows with a very profound AND/OR an important thought that will surely help us if we grasp it and take it with us in our Christian daily walk.  Sometimes the thought will be even life changing.

This post that you now read will remain in the top scroll bar of this site for quick access because…

Under Attack ??…

There are words that literally change life’s when you hear/read them.

Many readers have reminded me that “The pen is mightier than the sword.”

I blog because, I believe this!  Is Not the Living Word of God proof that words matter?
